Facilities
Reception
The Centre has spacious and comfortable reception and waiting areas for patients and their families. The waiting time is short and convenient and clients can be seen within a very short time upon entering the facility
Emergency Area
The facility has a well equipped emergency room to stabilize clients that need more attention upon arrival. It has all emergency centre requirements. This room is equipped for emergency procedures and other minor clinical and nursing procedures.
Dispensary/Pharmacy
The Centre stocks good quality medications of which their shelf life is always being monitored. The dispensing staffs are also taught to dispense adequately and educate clients on how their prescriptions must be used. there is also a medication delivery service at a fee specifically for clients who are on chronic medications and need refills.
Electronic Medical Records
The Centre maintains electronic medical records to ensure the secure storage and easy retrieval of patients’ information.
Staff Profile
Clinic Manager: Dr. Henry Markham
Dr. Markham is a medical doctor with over 17 years of medical practice in the area of family medicine, public health and healthcare management. He has worked in different institutions as a clinical advisor and as a channel lead in franchised healthcare.
Dr. Felix Awindaogo
He is a visiting internal medicine specialist about completing his fellowship in cardiology at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Cardiology Unit. He has about 18yrs of experience in medical practice as well as areas of occupational health and health screening services.
Dr. Wendy Asiedu
Dr. Asiedu is a visiting ophthalmologist with fellowship training in ophthalmology from the Kenyan Medical Postgraduate College in East Africa. She is currently with Emmanuel Eye Clinic as an ophthalmologist and also attends to ophthalmology clients within McHenlys. She has about 18yrs of medical practice experience.
Dr. Joshua Amegbor
Dr. Amegbor is the visiting urologist for McHenlys Medical Centre. He currently works with the 37 military hospital in Accra and he is a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons. He has about 20 years of experience as a medical practitioner.
Dr. Angela Frimpong
Dr Frimpong is the visiting obstetrician and Gynecologist for McHenlys Medical Centre. She is a fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. She works as a Gynecologist and Obstetrician at the Nyaho Medical Centre. she has about 17 yrs of medical practice experience.
Dr. Sally Bampoh
Dr Bampoh is the visiting Gastroenterologist for McHenlys Medical Centre. She is permanently the lead gastroenterologist as well as a physician specialist at the Ridge Hospital, Accra. She is both a fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and the West African College of Physicians. She has about 17yrs of medical practice experience.
Dr. Solomon Sakitey
Dr Sakitey is the visiting Ear, Nose and Throat specialist for McHenlys Medical Center. He is a member of the Ghana College of Surgeons. He was the acting ENT specialist for the Ada Government Hospital but currently at the Ridge Hospital in Accra. He has over 15 yrs of medical practice experience.
Dr. Janet Opare
Dr Opare is the visiting emergency medicine and supporting outpatient physician for McHenlys Medical Centre. She is currently a senior resident in emergency medicine in Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. She has about 8 years of medical practice experience.
Dr. Amanda Gordon
Dr Amanda is the visiting optometrist for McHenlys Medical Centre. She is currently with Omega Opticians and Xcel Opticals. She is a member of the Ghana Opticians Association. She has over 9 years of practice experience.
Dr. Ebenezer Akpanu
Dr Akpanu is the visiting radiologist for McHenlys Medical Centre. He is a member of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons and a Specialist Radiologist. He has over 16years of medical practice experience.
Dr. Silva Etsibah
Dr. Etsibah is the visiting Physiotherapist for McHenlys Medical Centre. He is currently the second in command at the physiotherapist unit at the Police Hospital Accra. He has over 5years experience in physiotherapy practice.
Dr. Michelle Akondoh
Dr Akondoh is a visiting pediatrician with over 15yrs experience. She is currently with 37military hospital
Thelma Esther Lewis
Thelma is an experienced dietician who attends to all our clients who need nutritional interventions. She trained from the university of Ghana and has a masters in dietetics
